Episode Three
The Return

While Leah was suspended, memories drifted through her mind like fragments of shattered glass—her parents’ tired smiles, the sting of Angela’s slap, the echo of cruel laughter.

Anger burned within her, hotter than any pain she had known.

“Why me?” Leah asked the void.
No answer came.

Then, faintly, she heard a heartbeat steadily, growing strongly and louder.

A gentle warmth surround her, beckoning her closer.

Leah tried to resist, but the force was irresistible. Fog lifting as the darkness thinned, transitioned into an intense red light

Leah felt herself shrinking, folding inward, becoming something small and fragile.

A new beginning.

Across the ocean, in a luxury hospital room, Angela’s mother, Lucy lay in labor.

Her face was white, muscles tight as labour pains hit hard.

Nurses and doctors are remaining nearby, their voices soothing and soft.

Outside, her husband working back and forth with his expensive shoes dragging the spotless floor.

The pregnancy had not been easy. Lucy had nightmares about a little girl standing at the foot of her bed, her eyes hollow, her voice whispering words she would never fully comprehend.

Lucy would often wake up soaked in sweat, hands tight around her belly, sure something was off.

The room turned freezing as Lucy let out a scream with the last push

A healthy girl.

Everyone exhaled in relief

Congratulations were exchanged, and the tension dissolved into celebration.

But when the nurse laid the baby in her arms, the mother trembled.

For an instant, the baby’s eyes seemed to hold a strange, old wisdom.

Then the baby blinked, and it was gone.

They named her Liora.

But deep within that tiny body, Leah awakened.

Summary:
Leah’s spirit, which is full of anger and pain, gets a new start when she is reborn as Liora, the daughter of Angela’s rich mother, Lucy.

There are strange things that happen around Liora’s birth that suggest a strange link to Leah’s past life.
