Episode 4 – The Lost City

After days of traveling, they finally reached the mountains marked on the map. Beyond them, hidden in the mist, lay the ruins of Eldoria. Massive stone walls covered in vines loomed before them, and broken statues guarded the entrance.

Samuel’s eyes widened. “We actually found it…”
Mary whispered, “It feels… alive.”

Inside, they discovered crumbling buildings, strange carvings on the walls, and golden artifacts scattered around. But as they explored, they realized the city was not entirely abandoned.

A group of shadowy figures emerged—guardians of Eldoria, dressed in ancient armor, their eyes glowing faintly.
“You dare disturb our city?” one of them thundered.

Terrified, the group huddled together. But David remembered Mr. Thomas’s words: “Be ready for what lies ahead.”

He held up the map. “We didn’t come for treasure. We came for answers. Tell us your story.”

The guardians paused. Then, slowly, they lowered their weapons. The leader spoke: “Eldoria was once a city of wisdom and power, but greed destroyed us. Few may know its secrets, but only those with pure hearts may leave alive.”

Moved by their courage, the guardians allowed the group to return home—without treasure, but with knowledge and memories no one else had.

As they walked back toward Riverside, Samuel grinned. “Well, we didn’t get rich, but at least we didn’t die.”
Mary rolled her eyes. “Next time, David, remind me not to follow you.”

David smiled at his friends. “But admit it—you wouldn’t trade this adventure for anything.”

And deep down, none of them would.

Lesson:
The story reminds us that true treasure is not always found in gold or riches, but in wisdom, experiences, and the bonds we create along the way. Eldoria’s fall shows how greed can destroy even the greatest civilizations, while the guardians’ warning teaches that only those with pure hearts can truly preserve what they discover. In the end, knowledge, courage, and friendship are far more valuable than material wealth.
