EPISODE 2 – Whispers in the Blood

Amara sat across from Kellan in a small café, her hands trembling.

“I don’t understand. It’s just an old artifact.”
“No. It’s The Wailing Serpent. Legend says it was forged by a forgotten queen in the Congo basin, gifted with power to bind or destroy souls.”

Kellan pulled out Zuberi’s note and a photo of a village—Ikota—lost deep in the Equatorial forest.

“Ikota disappeared decades ago. All that remained was this necklace. Zuberi… he was tracking it before he vanished.”

A waitress dropped a glass nearby. It shattered. Amara jumped. The obsidian gem around her neck shimmered faintly—somehow, it had latched onto her during the chaos at the museum.

Later that night, as Amara examined it, voices whispered through the air.

“Return… the blood… the blood of the serpent…”

Amara gasped, dropping the necklace. It landed silently on the floor—no sound, no impact.

Kellan burst in, gun raised. “I heard screaming!”

“It’s… it’s speaking to me.”

Unbeknownst to them, they were being watched. In a shadowed corner of Nairobi’s old market, a hooded figure reported into a cracked satellite phone.

“She’s activated it. Phase one has begun.

Lesson: Some Truths Lie Beneath the Surface—But Not Without Consequence

Whispers in the Blood teaches us that history is not always silent, and what we dismiss as legend may carry dangerous truth. Amara’s experience shows that uncovering hidden truths—especially those tied to our heritage or bloodlines—can awaken forces far beyond our understanding. Curiosity must be matched with caution, because every discovery comes with responsibility, and sometimes, the past doesn’t stay buried without a cost.
