Episode 3: Of Silent Prayers and Unspoken Words
As days became weeks, Zara and Daniel’s connection deepened in quiet ways.
They never called it anything. It wasn’t a relationship. They weren’t “talking.” But they began sitting near each other during fellowship. They shared jokes, borrowed books, and sent random texts during lectures.
But they never spoke of feelings.
Zara told herself she was fine with it. She prayed, too. She asked God to take away any emotion that wasn’t meant to be. But the more she prayed, the more her heart leaned toward Daniel.
Daniel, on the other hand, was fighting a battle of timing. He had a tech internship waiting after graduation, NYSC after that, and he wasn’t sure if love was wise now.
But every time Zara laughed, every time she listened with her whole heart, he felt peace.
One Sunday, after a powerful campus revival service, they both lingered outside the chapel.
“That message on surrender…” Zara started.
“Yeah,” Daniel interrupted softly. “It hit deep.”
They stood there, silent, as if waiting for the wind to speak.
“I prayed about you,” Zara suddenly said, surprising even herself.
Daniel turned, eyes searching hers.
“I mean… I’m not saying anything weird. Just… I pray. And sometimes you come up.”
Daniel smiled, heart pounding. “Same here.”
But neither said what they truly wanted to say.
Lesson: Not All Love Needs Loud Words to Be Real
Episode 3 of “Hidden Love” teaches us that love often grows in quiet moments—in shared laughter, in thoughtful prayers, in simply being present. While Zara and Daniel never voiced their feelings, their hearts were already speaking. Sometimes, the most powerful emotions are the ones left unspoken, nurtured in prayer and patience. This reminds us that love doesn’t always need a label right away; it needs sincerity, timing, and the courage to eventually speak when the heart is ready.
