Episode 3 – Sparks and Shadows
The summer bonfire was supposed to be fun until Mark appeared. “Didn’t think I’d see you again, Jessica,” he said smoothly, casting a glance at Liam.
The fire crackled, but the tension burned hotter. Sarah stayed close to Jessica while Ryan muttered, “This is gonna get messy.”
Later, by the lake, Liam sat beside Jessica. “Do you still feel something—for us?” he asked quietly.
Her heart raced. She was about to answer when Mark’s voice cut in: “Jessica, can we talk?”
Jessica froze. She wanted to scream at both of them, to tell them she just wanted one peaceful summer. But deep down, she knew this was more than nostalgia. This was her heart being pulled in two directions.
