Episode 6: Full Circle
Zara stood at the same chapel she had once waited in the rain, now wearing a deep blue dress. It was final year fellowship send-forth. And Daniel, now done with NYSC and working remotely, had promised to come.
She wasn’t sure he would.
But when the worship ended and they were about to begin the appreciation segment, someone walked through the chapel doors.
Daniel.
He looked just as she remembered, only more grown.
After the event, they stood outside under the evening sky.
“You came,” she smiled.
“I promised,” he said.
They stood quietly.
“I love you, Zara,” he said.
Her breath caught.
“I have for years. Hidden it, fought it, prayed through it. But now, I don’t want to hide.”
She laughed softly, tears in her eyes.
“I love you too.”
As the sky dimmed and stars began to dance above them, two hearts that had long whispered finally spoke aloud.
Love, once hidden, was now found.
